The paper it is devoted to the analysis of estimation method accuracy of parameters of the power law of pitting growth. The traditional method of direct measurement of depth and a way on the basis of processing dependence of a potentiostating current on a time are refered to them. Herewith the problem is solved on the basis of definition of absolute and relative inaccuracies of the specified parameters in both cases. The obtained results show that a coulometric way, actually being the way of measurement of nonelectric magnitudes by electric methods, possesses a smaller error in comparison with traditional ones. Herewith it allows to control the dynamics of average pitting growth and to reduce necessary amount of specimens.
