The comparative analysis of results of diagnostics and electrometric measurements on the site of a gas pipeline predisposed to stress-corrosion

Results of the analysis of the data of intratrumpet diagnostics and periodic measurements of potential “pipe-earth” are presented. It is shown that the probability of development stress-corrosion of defects depends on level of polarization of a site of a gas pipeline. The criterion of protection from the ohmic component, characterized by the minimum probability of development of stress-corrosion is proved.
