Drawbacks of applied now measuring methods of polarizing potential of pipelines are described. As an example, the potential measurement technique is described allowing to raise measurement accuracy. The design of the measuring module simulating closed defect of an insulating cover (fold), shielding action of means of electrochemical protection is offered.
