It was investigated the effect of additives of Al2O3, SiC and MoS2 nanosized particles in sulfate-
oxalate solutions of Cr(III) on a corrosion-electrochemical behavior of the composite electro-deposits. The corrosion-electrochemical behavior of the composite chromium coatings from sulfate-oxalate solution suspensions of Cr(III) is primarily determined by properties of the amorphous matrix of chromium and presence of the chromium carbide phase in the coatings. The phase of chromium carbide acts as a cathodic additive. Distinctive feature of the anodic polarization curves (1M H2SO4) of the composite chromium electrodeposits from sulfate-oxalate solution suspensions of Cr(III) is absence of the range of active dissolution of chromium which is characteristic for a chromium electrodeposits from solutions of Cr(VI) and a metallurgical chromium.
