Tests of wear resistance of composite chromium coatings from concentrated sulfa-te-oxalate Cr(III) solutions were carried out using the Taber method. Wear resistance of composite chromium coatings formed from concentrated solutions is primarily determined by properties of the amorphous matrix of chromium and presence of the chromium carbide phase in the coatings.
