Kinetics of anodic and cathodic reactions has been studied on St3 carbon steel covered by the film of fresh and waste oil Mobil-1. The investigations were conducted in the solutions of HCl (10–3…5·10–2 M), NaCl (10–3…5·10–5M) and in media with xMHCl+(1–x) M NaCl and x=10–3…5·10–2 M. Influence of the medium acidity on the order of the anodic ionization reaction with respect to hydrogen ions and the limiting cathodic current has been considered.
