Protective Efficiency of Compositions of Colza Oil and Emulgin at Carbon Steel Corrosion in Nacl Solutions Saturated with Sulfer Dioxide and in the Equilibrium Gas Phase

Protective efficiency of colza oil and emulgin composition against carbon steel St3 corrosion
has been studied in 0,5 M NaCl solution, presenting in equilibrium with SO2 at room
temperature. The initial SO2 concentration is 0,1 10 vol.%. Data about steel corrosion rate
in the liquid and gas phases have been obtained as a function of CSO2, emulgin content in
the colza oil (1…10 mass.%, 10 days weight loss tests) and duration of medium influence
on partial electrode reaction kinetics (0,25…24 h). Protective efficiency of the composition
decreases in both phases with increasing SO2 content, but exceeds 80% in the most hard
conditions.
