The effect of the caprolactam additive in concentrated sulfate–oxalate chromium plating electrolytes on the chemical composition and protective ability of the forming coatings is studied. The performed studies of the coatings on steel in a salt spray chamber also demonstrated the positive effect of the caprolactam on the protective ability of coatings and the porous deposits.
