Fractographic investigation of surface of fracture of impeller blade was conducted. Spectral mapping area of fracture detail was performed. Local chemical composition of inclusions in zone of fracture nucleus of product was determined. The analysis of relief and surface roughness of impeller blade alongside split and far off from it was fulfilled. On account of lead investigations it is found that service fracture of impeller blade is due to presence of emptiness and accumulation of aluminium oxides and fluoride in material of product. The
concentration of stress in metal because of numerous hairlines on blade surface favours to crack initiation.
