The thermal treatment of Cr-W-P and Co-Cr-W coatings obtained by electrodeposition was carried out in an air atmosphere at temperature about 200С. Coatings heating led to the decrease in the quantity of hydrogen absorbed by the coatings in the course of their deposition and oxide layers formation at the coatings surface. This resulted in the significant improvement of physico-mechanical characteristics of the coatings and a slight increase in their corrosion
resistance.
